Biographie

Austin, TX-based artist Monica Moser grew up with a background in musical theatre and classical voice and began playing the guitar at age 10. She started writing songs when she was 13, but waited to share her original works until right before she’d be attending Belmont University in Nashville to earn a degree in this long kept secret obsession of songwriting. “Over the years, I’ve learned that I absolutely love performing and nothing can compare with that feeling, but that creating something feels infinite.”

In Nashville she began performing at notable venues like Exit/In, The Basement East, Musicians Corner (2017), and gaining local buzz from Nashville’s Pop Ambassadors Ten out of Tenn, East of 8th, Now/It’s Nashville, Nashville’s PØPSQUAD, and local radio stations Lightning 100, ACME Radio Live, and WMOT Roots Radio. Her style ranges from folk & singer/songwriter to worship/CCM, to indie-pop. She strives to create music that is sonically dynamic & lyrically resonant.

Her first official project Human Heart (2013), a collection of songs written in her freshman dorm room, led to her first on-air radio performance and regular rotation airplay for Human Heart’s opener “Come To You.” She released her first worship single “Island” in 2016 and her first album your absence, a closeness in 2018, which is a thematic journey of letting people go and the shame wrapped up in those relationships go along with it. Alt. pop single Shortcut (2019) shows a new side to her artistry and was a semi-finalist with the International Songwriting Contest (2020). The reimagined "Feeling For You - Dance Version" accompanies her very first music video and her most recent single “WINGS” is meant to serve as an anthem for The Rutledge Cancer Foundation.
