Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and the sound of His voice directionally tethers us as we are led toward Him. Sheep can distinguish the voice of their shepherd and will move singularly toward its emanating direction upon hearing.

This fully tailored ambient pad is comprised of multiple coinciding layers, each designed to function both independently or as a unique part of the whole tapestry. The names of each layer are abbreviated versions of the imagery and themes evoked by each individual texture as I created them:

Enter = “Enter By The Door”
Know = “Know His Voice”
Guide = “He Goes Before”
Called = “Called By Name”
Pasture = “Into Pastures”

For each of the 12 keys, the sounds were physically played one at a time and ran through a custom effect chain. The process was then repeated until the soundscape was full enough to function not just as a background glue, but as a primary keyboard sound.

My hope is that these textures find their way into your workflow and open up more sonic exploration—whether in your home, local church, prayer room, studio, stadium, or anywhere in between.

Each stem has been mixed and levelled so you can drag all 4 into your DAW and start with the same sound as the FULL MIX files. Feel free to boost and adjust the individual layers to create your own mixes.
